Are you a homeowner in North Carolina and want to protect your home for years to come?

Take a moment real quick and google Texas ice storm. Read some of the stories regarding ice damns and the damage that it is causing. 

Now imagine the temperatures being in the teens with inches of snow on the roof and you begin having these issues. 

There are preventative measures you can take today and the next time your roof is replaced. 

Installing ice and water shield and drip edge around the eaves of your roof greatly decreases the chances of an ice dam doing any interior damage to your home. Which brings us to the reason I am starting this petition. Currently, this is not a local building code to North Carolina. We can change that. As homeowners and residents, we have a voice.

Let's change the building codes. Let's not have the situation currently in Texas here in NC. The situation in Texas and Louisiana is so severe they are calling for any contractor with equipment and the labor to perform work come to Texas. They were not prepared for this storm.
