As a resident of Briar Chapel, I am very concerned about the speed other residents travel on Great Ridge Pkwy and other main routes in and out of the community. By petitioning to have speed humps we can slow traffic down on this major artery into and out of our neighborhood. We have been lucky so far with no major issues but it is only a matter of time. My children and I have to cross the street various times of the day to access the trails, pool, playground, or just simply to visit friends within the neighborhood and it is very concerning as we are such an active community with a considerable number of children living in the Briar Chapel Community. If we are successful, we significantly reduce traffic speed and the potential for injury or issue.
