Alexis H started this petition to North Carolina Board of Edu

Our students have been knowingly exposed to a sexual predator for YEARS and it went unpunished and swept under the rug. Turning a blind eye to the repeated attacks on multiple children, spanning some 20+ years. It’s time those who had the power and the knowledge to stop it, are held responsible!!! It speaks volumes that almost 2 weeks into this scandal, Tim Markley is still superintendent, no information is being conveyed to parents and nobody, with the exception of Judy Justice, has taken ANY responsibility.  We’ve  started this petition to send a loud and clear message to the New Hanover Board of Education, their day as “protectors, educators and rule makers” of our children, are over. We demand to know if ANY members of the board had information regarding Peter Frank or any prior misconduct complaints or allegations and if so, we demand the immediate resignation or removal of the following board members, Lisa Estep, David Wortman, Stephanie Adams, Nelson Beaulieu, Jeanette Nichols, and Bill Rivenbark.  This includes Tim Markley, Superintendent of NHCS.  This petition does NOT include Judy Justice, who we feel has taken responsibility and has the best intentions to create a safe and transparent BOE, moving forward.
