Demolish McLaren Hotel, Brodick, Isle of Arran.

Demolish McLaren Hotel, Brodick, Isle of Arran.
The Issue
We ask that North Ayrshire Council review and act on the current state of the McLaren Hotel site in central Brodick, Isle of Arran.
The building has been abandoned by its current owner (who lives in England) and is now not only dangerous but in need of demolition. Various people have been using the derelict site illegally. The security gates are no longer functioning and the land is overgrown and unsightly.
The site is in a prime catchment area for tourism and is passed by over half a million people annually. It does no favours for our tourism industry whilst there are community plans to improve the site if it should become available.
