This petition is calling on the minister for education and the taoiseach, to close the schools during the level 5 lockdown.

Students, Teachers, SNA'S and principles were not consulted on this matter, and we feel the schools should be closed to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Up to 30 households are mixing in 1 classroom, we feel that this will increase the spread of the virus.

Schools should be moved online, and students should have access to the needed technology to make that happen.

We believe we should be consulted on what's the best way to close the schools, whilst ensuring students' education/futures aren't affected.
