Petition for Norfolk County Council to stop the use of glyphosate herbicides & pesticides.

Petition for Norfolk County Council to stop the use of glyphosate herbicides & pesticides.
The Issue
We ask for Norfolk County Council to commit to and undertake the ban of using glyphosate herbicides and pesticides on our streets, council owned farms and other facilities.
It is not acceptable that ourselves, our children and the animals we share our community with are being routinely exposed to these chemicals, whether we like it or not.
This is a matter of great importance for those of us who care about each other’s health, the health of our children, our pets and all the flora and fauna of this city, and across the county, and of course our beloved bees.
We ask that Norfolk County Council engages with, and works with Pesticide Action Network UK (PAN UK) to become a pesticide free council. Guidance from PAN UK states that becoming a pesticide free council can take some time based on a well-planned approach. With this in mind, we ask that Norfolk County Council commits to becoming a pesticide free council and starts working with PAN UK as soon as possible.
