Its been awhile since I have updated you on what's happening in and around the St. Mary's River.
Atlantic Gold is still pursuing its plan for gold mining Cochrane Hill. We have not heard any news regarding the Nova Scotia governments announcement to protect 7760 acres along the St. Mary's River Valley including Archibald Lake which is the proposed water source for the gold mine. Whats taking so long?
The St. Mary's River Association has started the process to designate The St. Mary's River as a Canadian heritage river. You can read more about that here: https://www.guysboroughjournal.com/article1.php?ID=709
