Recently Terrace Oaks Plaza has been blasting loud music that is becoming a nuisance to many residents in the Victoria Terrace Community. The city of Temple Terrace has a noise ordinance that goes into effect at 10 PM Monday-Thursday and then 12 midnight Friday- Sunday. This type of obnoxious noise coming from the Terrace Oaks Plaza is not fair to the residents of the Victoria Terrace Community. Why should the residents of Victoria Terrace have to tolerate a disruption to their life; being able to hear their televisions, listen to their own music, sleeping or even sitting outside to enjoy nature until a 10 PM or midnight curfew set by the city of Temple Terrace goes into effect? In other words, the residence of Victoria Terrace are being forced to tolerate this nuisance of sound throughout the day and into the evening. We are basically told by the city to tolerate it. It’s unjust, unfair and the city of Temple Terrace needs to make some changes. The Terrace Oaks Plaza was not meant to be a secondary Ybor city – party town. Stricter guidelines need to be put into place by the city of Temple Terrace to better accommodate the residents of Victoria Terrace that back the Terrace Oaks Plaza shopping center.
