As someone whose life is significantly affected by the humming noises from roads, I understand intimately the impact of noise pollution from highways and busy streets. The proposed road expansion on 336 S Loop to 4 lanes in our community at (Barton Creek Ranch) urgently calls for a proactive action. I propose the installation of noise barrier walls along this stretch of road to lessen the detrimental effects of increased traffic noise. Noise barriers have proven effective in urban planning, infrastructure projects, and more, dramatically reducing noise pollution from highways, railways, and industrial areas.

According to the Federal Highway Administration, noise barriers can reduce noise levels by up to 10 decibels, equivalent to cutting the volume of traffic in half. This installation is not just for comfort, but also for the health, safety, and overall well-being of our community.
