We, the undersigned residents of Manila, are writing to formally object to the placement of a high-risk, violent sexual offender Richard Stobaugh at 2171 Peninsula Drive.

This individual has a history of violent and sadistic sexual offenses and poses a significant and unacceptable threat to the safety and wellbeing of our community, particularly given the close proximity of this residence to schools, daycares, parks and the beach and dune trail systems.

All of these are a short walk from the proposed address, placing children and residents at severe risk. The decision to place such an individual in our family-oriented neighborhood is nothing short of reckless. 

While we support and encourage rehabilitation, this particular placement is unsafe for both residents and Stobaugh himself due to the lack of services in the area. 

We strongly urge the court to reconsider this placement and find a more suitable, urban setting where rehabilitation might succeed.
