Boris Johnson’s team have talked about bringing about a return to using Imperial Measurements in the UK.  This makes absolutely no sense. Apart from the fact it will cost millions to put in place (repackaging etc), it is simply unnecessary and unwanted. 

A return to imperial measurements will be another barrier to international trade (Europe will not allow this for EU trade) and it sets us even further apart from our close neighbours. It’s another Brexit barrier.

It is also really hard to teach imperial measurements and makes no sense for our children and grandchildren who have grown up in a metric world.

There are many more important things to be spending Government time and money on.  I had presumed it was just another bad joke from our entitled and elitist government but just in case - please sign this  petition to send a clear message to this Government.

This change is not wanted and only serves to isolate the UK further. Please do not mess with our measurements.
