No to Haircut Policy, yes to Democracy !!

The Issue

Usually, the intent of a haircut policy is to make students appear more put-together and professional. However, they implement this kind of policy with restrictions, such as a 2 by 3 haircut, often known as a barber haircut for boys, and the requirement that hair length not be above the polo collar and ear lobes. Although, in my opinion, regular trimming of hair for male students is not as effective, the result of this kind of event does not even have an effect on student performance in school; the only purpose intended is for the proclaimed “discipline". How come female students get to keep their hair long or short without it actually affecting their academic performance and discipline? Then why the need for a haircut policy for male students if it also applies to female students?

If we were to remove this policy, we as students could adapt and show our creativity and personality within a certain hairstyle without limitation. We could embrace and learn how to appropriately look neat, whether we have short or long hair, rather than rejecting the need to correctly emphasize our hair care. As a student, you must put up your best effort and present the finest version of yourself!

We are now living in a generation that is widely accepting of long-term issues within race, ethnicity, values, and more. Let's now embrace the new generation with a new purpose. not to only look neat and presentable but to have an open identity. Let your decision freely decide our future!
