NO TO CONTROLLED PARKING
 Our council and Mayor should stop treating us like resources that they can be squeezed for money. We are a community, see us as such and we can progress together  

For those aware and those that are not, of the proposed controlled parking zone by Lewisham Council. Let’s continue to create awareness, involve our cherished local businesses and workmen.
 
COSTS:
“the cost of a 12-month resident permit starts at £70 for petrol vehicles and £120 for diesel vehicles. The cost of a 12-moth business permit starts at £350 for petrol vehicles and £400 for diesel vehicles.”
“first booklet is free but if you need more it will cost £16 per booklet”
“how much will it cost for a builder to park their car- we take on this cost”
“what stops them from increasing prices”
 
CONFLICT OF INTEREST:
Project Centre is the company in charge of the consultation, and they are the consultancy arm of Marston Holdings who do the parking enforcement.  They also specialise in debt collection, air quality monitoring and fitting pre-payment meters.  Massive conflict of interest.  Issues with CPZ further explored here: http://honoroak.org/news/lewisham-cpz/

For those that don’t know yes to trees or sped bumps in the survey can be taken as a positive outcome. Even if you don’t want CPZ. REDO your survey and reject the process by saying no to everything.

Issues to consider:

·      All costs have been passed on to residents, if contractors increase costs of maintenance or prices go up. Residents will definitely be made to pay for it. Every venture is a business and most make money for the government.

·      Will this endeavour prevent wind from spreading pollution.

·      There are other ways to reduce pollution that shouldn’t cost us even more.

·      The process of printing these leaflets is it green will trees be cut down and the ink be used too

·      ZipCar (car share) you can park on our roads and doesn’t require a bay
