Students of West High… due Ms. Allens unawareness and inability to teach science I have made this petition. This petition is to start awareness around the surrounding fact of Ms. Allen not teaching us anything and handing us copy and paste notes for us to learn from. There has already been an email, there has already been an evaluation from the head principal from our school, and there has been a lot of not good grades coming from all of this. Personally my grade in this class is not good and I can easily assume it’s not good for others either according to the many complaints I’ve heard about over the last 2 months about people failing and not gonna pass the class. So this is why I made this petition to STOP the final in Ms Allen’s class. Because she hasn’t taught anything and hasn’t learned from her ways, and I say this for all the freshman that need a good grade in her class this year. Ms. Allen's students don't learn anything because Ms. Allen does not teach. We should not be taking a final because none of us would benefit from it. Several of her students have a drastically lower grade in her class than they do in others. It's not the fact that science is hard, because students who have other teachers have average or even above average grades in science class. Even some of the smartest students fall behind in her class. She gives an excessive amount of work with an unrealistic due date. She will forget notes in her car and then mark them as 0's, even though we never had the opportunity to do them. She will mark assignments missing that we did and turned in that day just because a question is missing. She will give little to no instruction on our note sheets unless we ask, almost everything is self guided. She only started "teaching" after a complaint was sent to our principal, and by teaching she just reads off slide shows and does fill-in-the-blank notes. We are not ready, no amount of preparation could make us ready for this science final.
