No religion No evolution

No religion No evolution
The Issue
Personally impacted by the perceived imbalance of religious and scientific education in the United States, I have long pondered on the absence of religious teachings in our schools where evolution is being taught. Maintain the separation of church and state, but let's not overlook the importance of providing comprehensive education to our children. Both evolution and various religious perspectives can co-exist in an educational setting, ensuring each student receives a well-rounded worldview.
In the United States, 98% of scientists connected to the American Association for the Advancement of Science believe humans evolved over time, while only 62% of U.S adults agree, according to Pew Research Center. I believe this discrepancy is a result of the lack of comprehensive teaching in our schools.
This petition doesn’t negate the validity of evolutionary theory, but rather advocates for equal emphasis on religious perspectives in a fair and impartial manner. We need to equip students with knowledge about different belief systems, thus fostering mutual respect and understanding in our diverse society.
It is time for a change. It is time to write to our local school boards, education officials, and state representatives. Let them know we want a balanced curriculum for our children—an education where diverse theories are taught without bias. Let us advocate for education that reflects the values of all students. Signing this petition is the first step in a longer journey of academic reform for the betterment of our children's future.
