  • Your PRESENCE is your most powerful message--BEST chance to be seen (and heard) is at this meeting!
  • JOIN your neighbors and friends.  We'll be there!
  • SUPPORT those addressing the Township Board on this crucial matter.  We anticipate a thorough discussion on this agenda item, based upon our communications with Board members.

WAYS YOU CAN CONTINUE TO MAKE AN IMPACT:

1.   Still have time to send an e-mail to entire Woodlands Township Board of Directors

  • Chairman Gordy Bunch:  GBunch@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov
  • Director Carol Stromatt: cstromatt@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov
  • Director John McMullan: JMcMullan@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov
  • Director Ann Snyder: ASnyder@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov
  • Director Brian Boniface: bboniface@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov
  • Director John Anthony Brown:   jabrown@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov
  • Director Bruce Rieser: brieser@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov

2.   Send a message to the Houston-Galveston Area Council at:   Publiccomment@H-GAC.com OR complete their online comment form (H-GAC Contact Form for Public Comment).  Our group was very well represented by two speakers at yesterday's public meeting!  Nicely done, gentlemen!

3.   Tell your County Commissioners that you would like more facts to be revealed in public hearings.  The $24 million cost is too much to spend on an intersection that is predicted to flood after underpass construction.  Massive clear cutting of trees creates environmental and noise issues.  Economic impact to businesses impacts residents' wallets.

  • Commissioner Charlie Riley: charlie.riley@mctx.org
  • Commissioner James Noack: evan.besong@mctx.org
  • Judge Craig Doyal: james.fredricks@mctx.org

(E-mails for some at Commissioners' Court are forwarded to Chiefs of Staff.)

4.   Contact the Shenandoah City Council.  At the October 10th City Council meeting (just one week ago), Council discussed this issue and revealed that most, if not all, City Councilmembers support making changes at street-level.  This indicates there is possible room for reassessment of the project.  Ask them for actions to fix traffic in the true areas of congestion:  Interstate 45 (ingress and egress).

Mayor Ritch Wheeler:  rwheeler@shenandoahtx.us
Councilman Byron Bevers:  blbevers@shenandoahtx.us
Councilman Charlie Bradt:  cbradt@shenandoahtx.us
Councilman Michael McLeod:   mmcleod@shenandoahtx.us
Councilman Ted Fletcher:  tfletcher@shenandoahtx.us

5.  Read the newest letter to the editor -- posted to the petition page!

If you have questions or need information about the Township meeting, e-mail:  nooverunderpass@yahoo.com.
