No on SB 798 Save Paintball!(For Non California Residents)
No on SB 798 Save Paintball!(For Non California Residents)
The Issue
SB 798 calls for the painting of all "immitation firearms." This includes airsoft guns, bb guns, toy guns, and paintball markers. All of this would definitaly cause a blow to the economy, the sport, and help increase childhood obesity, because many players will lose interest in the sport. We have $1500 markers that we worked for months for then all of a sudden they want us to pull $200 out of no where to have our markers painted/anno'd.Not everyone can buy this and since paintball is a competitive sport, the loss of interest will cause factories to shut down, increasing the un-employment rate, and many people, me included, only paintball, it's the only excercise we get and the loss of interest will make us just sit on the couch getting fat, no offense anyone. Please do NOT let this pass. This would cause all the immitation firearms to be painted a bright color, to distinguish them from regular firearms, but they shouldn't be worrying about the people with the fake ones and more about the people with the real ones.
