THIS IS A LAW PROPOSAL, NOT A BILL CURRENTLY IN CONGRESS. 

We, the undersigned citizens of the United States, urge our elected representatives in Congress to support and pass the Appropriations and Anti-Shutdown Act.

This Act guarantees that the federal government remains open and functional even when Congress cannot agree on a new budget. Under the proposal, funding from the previous fiscal year would automatically continue until a new budget is approved.

By preventing future government shutdowns, this Act:

Protects federal workers and their paychecks
Keeps essential services operating for all Americans
Shields families, businesses, and communities from unnecessary harm
Ensures our government remains stable, reliable, and accountable
We believe that no political disagreement should ever shut down the government.
We call on Congress to act now to ensure continuous funding and uninterrupted public service.
