On Sunday, September 29, 2024 a fire broke out at Biolabs in Conyers Ga. Biolabs is a company that manufactures water treatments for pools and spas.

The nature of the chemicals involved made it extremely challenging for first responders to get the fire under control which led to a massive blaze lasting nearly 18 hours.  

Biolabs location in Conyers puts it in close proximity to residential areas which resulted in 17,000 people being evacuated from their homes, the entirety of the county under a “shelter in place” order, numerous pets and animals are at risk & schools have been shut down in neighboring counties for at least two days at this point!

 This isn’t the first or even the second time this has happened! Since 2004, there have been three fires at this facility and the community has had enough!! 

I’m asking for signatures to ensure that Biolabs not ever be allowed to rebuild their facility in Conyers or the surrounding areas. They pose a major health risk to the community and the safety measures they have in place are obviously not sufficient to mitigate that risk. 

NO MORE BIOLABS!!
