Nkanyiso Mbele (27) of Oshabeni best know in his community and work as Mr Phenominal was killed in the month of May 2023 in Mthwalume- Portshepston, KZN.

It is said that he had went to a store in Mthwalume nearby his renting place- to buy something to drink where a group of men insulted him calling him gay. Out of anger words were exchanged then after resulted to a fist fight where he hit the men on his own. They then threatened him and said they are going to call their brothers to finish him off.

A few minute later back at his place he told his neighbors about the fight and what had happened and asked that if anything happens to him they must call home. In the evening during loadshedding Nkanyiso was then shot dead in Mthwalume.

Two suspects have been arrested but have not appeared in court yet.

Nkanyiso leaves behind his 6 year old daughter, step mother, his elder brother and sisters. He was loved by many in his community and was a shining star to the youth.
