We are at over 1500 signatures with online and paper signatures combined! What an awesome accomplishment! Thank you to all who have signed, and promoted this petition. Monday's public meeting at City Hall was a resounding success with standing room only crowds. It was a pleasure meeting many of you for the first time! The Grand Marais city council will meet tonight at 6pm at City Hall to discuss and decide the next appropriate action to take. If you can attend this meeting, please do. Our work is not done when this issue is decided. We will need people to attend city planning and zoning meetings in the future as well, as this will be an ongoing discussion as the council begins the comprehensive zoning and planning revisions. This presents a golden opportunity to truly have a say in the direction of growth for our amazing little town. This is a matter that greatly affects all of us, and I know that John and I will be at as many meetings as we can. I was interviewed by the Minneapolis Star Tribune today, as was our mayor, so this issue IS getting more and more attention! Let's keep that momentum going!
