No Development At Koa Ridge.

No Development At Koa Ridge.

The Issue

Castle and Cooke has gotten approval to build nearly 3,500 new homes between Mililani and Waipi'o Gentry. The homes are planned to be built on 575 acres of agricultural land, which has proved to bear productive yields annually. A second development phase will place 1,500 more homes in the Waiawa area on top of 192 more acres of agricultural land. Castle and Cooke Homes' main objective is to build and sell high priced homes, many of which local families will not be able to afford. This will bring about more people, overpopulated schools, and more traffic among other things. Mililani Mauka is a prime example of the Castle and Cooke development surge, with little interest in the overpopulation of schools and the traffic congestion on Meheula Parkway (the one and only route out of Mililani Mauka). This development will directly affect anyone north of the H2 freeway (Mililani, Wahiawa, North Shore) and the surrounding Waipi'o Gentry area. If you care about the future of the Central O'ahu area, sign our petition against development of Koa Ridge.
