Sign the Petition: Tell LA County to Protect Us from City of Industry

Puente Hills Community Preservation AssociationROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA, United States
Sep 9, 2026

When the City of Industry forced the burdens of a battery storage system onto Hacienda Heights residents without a full Environmental Impact Report, PHCPA intervened with a California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) lawsuit.

And then the community stepped up with over $37,500 in small, personal donations to keep the lawsuit active.

Now, it's time for LA County to come forward and protect its constituents!

Sign and share this petition below to tell the LA County Board of Supervisors to:

  • Stand with the community to compel a full Environmental Impact Report
  • Direct LA County's legal team to evaluate and participate in the CEQA lawsuit
  • Allocate resources so our communities do not bear all of the legal and financial burdens alone
  • Protect our interests of environmental justice and public safety

As voters and taxpayers, we set the priorities. It’s time to hold the LA County Board of Supervisors accountable to their duty to protect us.

Please forward this email to everyone who lives in the greater Los Angeles area and ask that they sign the petition. The petition will be shared with all members of the Board of Supervisors, who represents over 1 million residents in unincorporated LA County.

If you need assistance or have any questions, please email outreach@phcpa.org.

--------------------------------

PHCPA is currently engaged in public interest litigation under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), challenging the adequacy of the environmental review adopted for the 9.2-acre, 400-megawatt Marici Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project located across the street from Hacienda Heights residents.

We are also working to oppose the proposed AI data center at the Puente Hills Mall.

Your donation directly supports PHCPA's ability to stay in the fight for the community.
