Spare $5 a month to protect your community?
Hi! We have a simple math problem that $5 per month can solve. Can you spare $5 once a month to help protect your community from unchecked industrial developments?
Follow me here: Our newsletter is sent to about 5,000 email addresses. Historically, about half of the emails never get opened. That leaves about 2,500 emails that have been opened and read.
If everyone who reads this email donates $5 once a month, PHCPA would have $12,500 each month to stay in the fight against the Marici Battery Energy Storage System project. Currently, we are spending around $7,000 each month in legal fees, most of which is used to respond to various procedural requests from the City of Industry and the developer.
How to set up a $5 monthly donation:
- Go to PHCPA's Givebutter page and click the "Donate" button
- Click "$5" under the "Monthly" tab
- Note: You can remove the optional tip during the checkout process by selecting "other" and changing the amount to "zero".
That's all it takes to help keep PHCPA in the fight to protect you from large-scale industrial developments that you didn't agree to! Please seriously consider joining your fellow community members who have already donated a total of over $37,500 -- all of which has already been spent on legal fees.

PHCPA is currently engaged in public interest litigation under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), challenging the adequacy of the environmental review adopted for the 9.2-acre, 400-megawatt Marici Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project located across the street from Hacienda Heights residents. We are also working to oppose the proposed AI data center at the Puente Hills Mall.
