NO CHILDREN LEFT BEHIND - RIGHT FOR THEIR DREAMS

NO CHILDREN LEFT BEHIND - RIGHT FOR THEIR DREAMS
The Issue
Education is one of the most important in the life of children, but not all children have a right to learn and experience this kind of education system. Just like before the pandemic struck, the Philippines need better education, and one of the main reasons why causes this because of the financial education of the nation. Additionally, because of unequal access to education and low-quality technology, numerous children are unable to catch up and left behind. Public Schools have a majority of children who attend free and it is publicly funded by the government. Sadly, public school
education continues to be of poor quality, Shortage of educational resources, and a lack of technology devices.
The pandemic struck and is still a bigger problem among children, some of them do work outside just to help their parents to make them feed. According to Esguerra (2002), it was analyzed that causes child labor in the Philippines is because of financial constraints, inability to fulfill primary needs due to family size, and availability of child work. Based on the same report, the number of working children increased by 53 percent (1.9 million), and aged 5 to 17 already working. Children who choose to work make us think that it is sadly needed a better and proper decision-making for the children. Some children wander out on the road, knockings on each one of people just to ask if they have food or asking for money. This crisis of poor education also widespread a lack of literacy and basic numeracy skills among children.
This raises another problem with the current setup of the pandemic. Many children lack access to technology at home, making blended learning ineffective for millions of learners. So, many pupils are impacted by the importance of technology in education.
These are the main issues that children concern about:
- Lack of devices
- Children hard time focusing and learning
- Guardians and Parents lack knowledge of their children's lessons
It's important to emphasize that equipped schools have a greater opportunity to adopt a variety of approaches to address the new issues of open and distance learning. Quality Education that is one that empowers all children with the skills needed to grow into economically successful adults, guiding children toward comprehensive growth and environmentally friendly lifestyles.
Here are some responses to new learning set-ups:
- We should have an action plan including boosting funds to help public schools make learning materials and have technology devices.
- With the aid of specialized training and qualified teachers in schools, door-to-door learning aids children in attaining success. Children pick up knowledge from their everyday interactions and conversations with others.
They have the future that they want, we don’t have to prohibit them to dream for their lives. Education is not a problem, it is an opportunity. One child left behind is too many, Let’s help them write their dream!
