There are thousands of overseas trained nurses in  Ireland with a dependent visa or student visa.Most of them are working as Health care assistants and some in non medical field.Many of them have tried their level best to undertake English exams (IELTS/OET ) .Due to unfortunate reasons they couldn’t clear those language competency exams.

These nurses have been working in their home countries or in Arab countries as Registered nurses .They should be given a chance to register with NMBI without language competency requirement considering their background knowledge and experience as a trained nurse either in India,Philippines,South Africa or any other non European countries .

As they are living in Ireland their services as a registered nurse must be utilised during this pandemic .Our country is facing nurse shortages and these nurses are ready to take up the role as a registered nurse in Ireland.I request all the respected officials to look into this matter and give them a chance to help and support our health system during this crisis .
