We the residents of Reitz, do hereby demand the Nketoana Municipality undertake to immediately attend to issues pertaining to the Reitz dump site. We further demand that the Administrator, Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Speaker supply their minds to an urgent relocation of the dump site & urgent maintenance of the Dump in the interim.  The Residents of Reitz, Free State do not deserve the poor service which seems to now be the norm, and a SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUE in the area. The Reitz dump is an ongoing problem which is affecting the livelihood of farmers and residents in the area.

Not only is the waste being consumed by cattle, but also that there are serious health implications for the wheat farmers in the area who have no means to control the growing dump site. If the rest of the world had to see the plastic that goes into the food we eat, Reitz would have no business farming.

The dump must be shut considering the close proximity to agricultural farming lands, grazing cattle, residents and wildlife sanctuaries.  

The rubbish must be removed immediately as the dump is bursting at its seams with Garden refuse, household refuse & builder's rubble.

The Dump is regularly on fire causing serious risk to residents' health & safety with toxic fumes & smoke emanating from the fires.

The residents demand that guards monitor the site on a 24hr basis. Preferable private guards as Municipal guards do not have control over the site.
