On Monday, March 11, Oral Arguments were held on the NJ DEP's Motion for Summary Judgement in their case to evict The Sunset Beach Sportsmen's Club from the land that we've stewarded since 1957. We now await a written decision from the judge.

As the NJ DEP project at The Higbees Beach area begins, it remains clear that The Club does not interfere with their efforts. The clubhouse property amounts to a negligible 0.003% of the total acreage and is located at the outermost edge of its perimeter. 

Our 200 members are disheartened by the NJ DEP's apparent unwillingness to identify a reasonable solution that would allow the Club to remain an active member of the Cape May community in our historic bayfront location. Despite this, we remain committed to protecting the Club's future and to being contributing members of the local community.
