Please sign the petition against the use of toxins in Newton Lake for the only purpose of a short term appearance fix. The collateral damage will be extensive and starts with killing everything at the foundation of the food chain. Copper sulfate is a known bee toxin, last year was the biggest record drop in colony size. Apples are $10 a piece in places in the world where bees are gone. In vineyard/orchards where copper sulfate is used the soil is dead. No earthworms no mycelia. When has pollution ever been solved by chemical applications. We need to solve the problem not medicate the symptoms.
