NixPlay, known for digital photo frames, has recently imposed a new subscription fee, citing rising costs of online storage as the underlying cause. This change caught many users by surprise and has been dubbed as a 'bait and switch'. While we understand the necessity of cost management for a company, the shifting of these costs should not come at the expense of the users in such an abrupt manner. NixPlay currently does not allow third party storage and mandates the use of their subscription service for additional storage.
