After I posted my last update, my story was covered by renowned automobile news portal Carandbike.com. While I received a response from the Ministry, it didn’t adequately address my concerns regarding how senior citizens are going to deal with the ban on 10-year-old diesel and 15-year-old petrol vehicles in Delhi-NCR.

I am still trying with all my meagre resources and humilty for a meeting at the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, and have sent mails to several officials ranging from the Union Minister to the Minister of State, and their PAs as well. But it’s taking longer than I expected.

What keeps me going is your continued support for my appeal, and my conviction in the fact that this issue will seriously affect the mobility of senior citizens. In our advanced age, we cannot afford to let go of our vehicles because of an arbitrary rule that doesn’t take into account our vehicle’s actual fitness.
