The fitness industry in India amounts to 2.6 billion dollars serving over 6 million members across India.Providing jobs to at least a million people including the sales professionals  , personal trainers, fitness trainers housekeeping staff, technicians ,valet  services etc.

With the outbreak of COVID19, the nation has gone in a lock down for 21 days.This  is leading to financial losses to the gym owners/ fitness studios /equipment brand owners and most of the  owners are worried about the  debt building up on them in terms of rentals, salaries ,taxes etc. It is becoming impossible for the business owners to survive under this debt. 25-30% people are at a risk of losing jobs due to this pandemic.

We request the government To help the fitness industry in this time of crisis:

-Moratorium for upcoming statuary dues/temporary stoppage of all EMI payment and interest

-Delay in utility payment

-GST waiver for upcoming months.

-Freezing rent dues

-Help gyms/studios/equipment companies with  Employee unemployment pay cover 

We hope this measures will be taken to save the fitness industry in India.
