I just think people would want to be able to marry certain villagers in game, and I feel that that would be wholesome. Not everyone has to marry a villager, but if you like a certain villager and want to, in-game start a family with them, it would definitely be very nice to have that option.

And there's probably even ways that Nintendo could implement this. Particularly, they already have a friendship meter, they could use that as a baseline to make a love meter. They even have a ring that could be used as an engagement ring! It wouldn't be too difficult to make marriage possible. They don't even have to make "making a family" dirty. They can just do the same thing they did with Tomodachi life, where the villager they married asks about their thoughts of having a child and the player can agree or disagree to the thought! 

I do understand that some people may not have the best intentions with marriage in the Animal Crossing game. Not everyone has a heart of gold. However, I believe this doesn't mean we can not have marriage. We should not let the ill intents of a few ruin the enjoyment of everyone else. I feel that allowing us to marry and have a family in game would be very fun and the responsibility could draw many players in even more.
