Meow and Bow have been absent from Animal Crossing for nearly 20 years, a heinous crime against Animal Crossing fans and humanity alike. They were and are some of the most well-designed villagers, and a huge loss to the series as a whole. Nintendo, please consider our words. If it comes down to it, they could even be non-villager NPCs, perhaps only around during a specific event once a year. The only potential problem is the branding of Meow and Bow. They are based on an obscure Japanese product with two variations, called "Meowlingual" and "Bowlingual" translating devices. Despite this, it seems likely a company as large as Nintendo could gain the rights needed from Takara to use these characters again.
