Make Mewtwo a super heavyweight in smash ultimate

Make Mewtwo a super heavyweight in smash ultimate
The Issue
The Smash community as a whole and Mewtwo players will be affected by this change, as the meta, or overall viability and checks/balances will always be affected by balance changes. Mewtwo, while he has been a force to reckon with in previous games, has been sinking out of play lately, in part due to the relative ease of killing him, as he is not the most high-powered glass cannon in the game, and that there are a good amount of misconceptions about his weight due to the monumental discrepancy between games.
If Mewtwo’s weight changes, an underloved character will receive a small tweak to make it much more viable and fun to play with. In addition to this, the game will just make more sense. There is not a reason to class a 269 pound, 6’7 mouse monster mutant anywhere near a 13 pound electric mouse. If the petition is lost or denied or however people want to phrase it, then it will be inconsequential to the majority of the community as Mewtwo is underplayed and status quo would be maintained.
Mewtwo, in the core Pokémon games, weighs 269 pounds. However, in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, he is classified as a featherweight and weighs less than Pikachu, who, being from the same core series, is 13 pounds. In addition to that, he weighs the same as Fox McCloud, who is 155 pounds in his core series. Incinerator, classified as a super heavyweight, weighs a measly 183 pounds in his core game, also Pokémon, but outweighs Mewtwo by a hefty amount in the Smash Bros. series.
Why do I care? I care, because as someone who has played the series since Smash Bros. Melee, I was a Roy/Mewtwo main back then. When Mewtwo and Roy were removed, to my dismay, I wasn’t elated that they were gone, but if there were new characters in the rotation, it wouldn’t be all bad. Since Smash 4 reinstated both with wildly different competitive results, I was eager to use both. While Roy is a powerhouse, Mewtwo struggles in an easily fixed area: kill percentage. As a player of both series, I was puzzled as to why the discrepancy was so large. For a while I thought it was balance, but then I realized that Mewtwo does not fare well in online either and I seek to get that issue fixed by putting Mewtwo in a more accurate and balanced weight class. Thank you for considering, and everyone have a good day.
