As you may remember over three years ago, a game titled Fire Emblem Awakening was released to the public, changing the series for the worse. The game seemed more interested in pandering to the otaku crowd than actually building upon what made Fire Emblem the masterpiece series it once was. It was an absolutely disgraceful  title; it wasn't Fire Emblem, it was a pathetic dating sim under the guise of a Fire Emblem game.

As you can gather from this, Awakening nearly killed the series.

So what do Nintendo and Intelligent Systems do to make up for it? Make another blunder of a "Fire Emblem" "game" of course! At the beginning of 2015, Nintendo had announced Fire Emblem Fates, the sequel to Awakening that seems to go for the same shameful otaku pandering and casualization, this time cranking it up to eleven with a Pokemon Amie lookalike, incest and gay relationships, and the terror that is PHEONIX MODE!!!!!! With this, we were clearly on our way to experiencing the death of a series and an identity. A true FE fan cannot in good faith even play another Fire Emblem game without cringing in disgust as they are immediately reminded of the atrocities known as Awakening and Fates. If you truly do care about this series, please sign this petition and save this series. I have played every Fire Emblem game since the very first one and seeing people enable these weeaboo "games" leaves me physically hurting inside. It's like losing an old friend, that's how much it hurts. If we cannot get Fire Emblem Fates cancelled, then hopefully this petition will convince Nintendo and Intelligent Systems to pull this game off shelves forever.
