Nosegay was a villager (Nosegay wiki page) in the previous Animal Crossing games, but has been removed from the character list in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. We seek to reverse the decision to omit this character.

The term Nosegay is commonly associated with flower bouquets, however, many from the LGBTQ+ community have coined this character as an iconic representation of the community. To remove this character from the game is to remove a character that gives a sense of belonging and relatability to the LGBTQ+ population. While the updates to some character dialogue to include openly gay/non-hetero relationships are appreciated by the community, the specific impact of the iconic character Nosegay can not be overlooked. Nosegay uniquely possesses the historic relationship with the LGBTQ+ community that other characters do not.

As great of a game ACNH is, growth in inclusivity and gameplay experience can only be made when brought forth by the Animal Crossing community. I, and everyone who has signed this petition, am asking for an update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons that will return Nosegay to the villager list.

Note: Not only would Nosegay add a charming personality and exquisite fashion taste to the already-existing villager lineup, but she is also an Aquarius. This proves Nosegay is a substantial character with terrific qualities and above all, a terrific name that makes her an icon among the LGBTQ+ community.
