While a great *short term* alternative, online school doesn’t cut it. Many students are having a tough time adjusting. It is taking days to reach teachers and students are practically teaching themselves. We do not expect regular school environment to return, but some sort of in school days. Schools like Regina & Norte Dame have opened along with all of the D219 middle schools. A possible solution is setting a group schedule in one room. Only teachers rotate and students who have to similar classes/courses stay in one room. English, math, science, history, language, etc. would be taught in the same room. Mondays/Thursdays can be freshman/sophomore days and Tuesdays/Fridays and be junior/senior days with Wednesday being left for sanitation if necessary. All while masks and social distancing being mandatory. We hope this reaches the school board and the principle to reopen the school.
