A least 10 of the 32 council areas in Scotland currently charge for the collection of garden bins with varying costs (from about £20-£45). They are;

- Aberdeen City (£30)
- Angus (£30)
- Highland (£45)
- Edinburgh (£25)
- Dundee City (£35)
- Falkirk (£20)
- Perth and Kinross (£35)
- Inverclyde (£31)
Midlothian (£35)
- Moray (£40)

East Ayrshire and Stirling will bring those numbers up further and other local authorities are considering it too.

Borders Council no longer provide a garden waste collection service.

Please sign this petition to scrap the bin charges altogether before it becomes the norm for all Scottish council areas.
