Nickelodeon Should Bring Back Danny Phantom

Nickelodeon Should Bring Back Danny Phantom
The Issue
What Is Danny Phantom?
Danny Phantom was an amazing show on Nickelodeon that ran from 2004-2007, and was created by Butch Hartman. The show followed the adventures of young Danny Fenton (Phantom) as he goes through an average life. (Except for the fact that his parents are ghost hunters and the portal created by them accidentally turned Danny into a boy with ghost powers)
The show was good for kids and teens, as it focused on conflict resolution, teamwork, and typical middle/high school interactions. Danny wasn't all too spectacular in his average life, making him and his band of "rejects" relatable.
The story was enjoyable and interesting to many age groups, so much so, that the show is still talked about a lot to this day as a Nickelodeon classic.
Why was Danny Phantom Cancelled?
Danny Phantom was cancelled in 2007 but the internet boards are still a bit fuzzy as to why. While some say that the reason was because it couldn't compete with the amount of viewership that SpongeBob, or The Fairly Odd Parents were achieving at the time. Others may say it was due to the crew that worked on Danny Phantom, constantly going over budget for their show. The world is in a much different place now than it was in 2007. Some would argue that both shows have gone down in terms of quality over the years. A change of pace could put that perspective at ease.
Why Should Danny Phantom Come Back?
Danny Phantom should come back as it is a smart move for the company and something that would bring a lot of viewership to the company. Bringing the show back opens up many different opportunities for ad revenue, merchandising, and overall variety to Nickelodeon again. It plays to the nostalgia of people like me, who would love to see the show come back (IN IT'S ORIGINAL STYLE) and it brings the show to the attention of new children, that never got to experience the joy that this show brought. It showed kids like me, that you don't have to be superman, or batman to be a superhero and make a change. It showed that you can be an average student with normal struggles and still make a difference. Especially with the way the world is right now, bringing that positive idea to children could be very beneficial. If Nickelodeon would not have interest I'm sure Netflix would love to reboot the show in some form, so maybe a deal could be made.
Thank you for reading and I hope you agree. Let me know what you think!
