My Name is Nick Cocco,  I am a Queens NY Native  who is asking for support of securing 7,500 signatures to be placed on the 2021 Ballot for NYC Mayor. Here is my platform and what we are fighting for the City of New York.

1- Law Enforcement - By funding back the NYPD and weeding out the bad apples where the good cops no longer suffer. New York City needs to be safe, we must have the confidence in our community that the NYPD is here to serve and protect. We cannot have a lawless city and will uphold the law for all. All communities want and love the NYPD . We want to bring back the respect that the NYPD deserves and to do so ALL sides will be held accountable. We will lose our city if we do not come together, Instead of division We will bring back unity, love, safety Communication and respect to the City of New York  where Law abiding for all will be the way of life here. 

2- Education - You are only strong as your weakest  link...... We should not have weak links here as this is our future. We need to infuse good educators in the Inner city Schools or the so called bad schools. Schools with low ratings should not be a destination for punishment with disciplined educators which happens all to often. This method is by far counter productive.We must do away with the numbers game on Graduation, lowering standards only inflates false graduation numbers but set up students to fail in their first year of College as many wind up taking remedial classes and parents/students fit the cost of 1 years tuition for something that should have been earned in High School. We must teach from failure both parent and teacher so student can be resilient when adversities arise. Education budgets will no longer be an open cookie jar, we will hold leadership accountable on spending reviews and make sure it is spent on the kids learning materials and needs of the school that foster a safe learning environment, cutting edge technology, security and abundant resources for All.

3-Rebuild and restore - A post Covid  New York City will be all about rebuild and restore as unfortunately allot of businesses Hotels in particular will need all the help and they will receive it. Tourism is a major contributor to New York City not to mention will offer new good paying Union jobs, it will also drive down the unemployment rate in New York City. Having the concept of rebuild and restore businesses and to beautify NY will promote Tourism funds, Combat future health concerns that we just faced, focusing on liter and cleanliness by disinfecting transportation  Buses ,Trains, and  other such clean-up and health protocols   will continue going forward. 

4-Taking Care of People who Take care of us all-  When emergencies happen New York City never fails to bounce back because we have a fight in us that goes unmatched. Educators, Health Care Professions, All first responders, NYPD we need to fight for a plan that wipes away student loans or with certain professions  receive a full 20 year pension package at the 15th year. This will bring back prestige to the professions and will promote a higher education. 

This will not be an over night thing, It will not be a one man or woman show. It will take all of New York City to come together and wrap their arms around it. We must continue to be the City that welcomes all to better their family. We must be a City that continues to stand as one. We must be a City that is ready to listen to the other side in a civil and just manner for better understanding, Civil Rights and respect to others.

I believe NY can get the job done.....after all we are the BIG APPLE, CONCRETE JUNGLE, CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS and I fully believe that IF YOU CAN MAKE IT HERE..... YOU CAN MAKE IT ANY WHERE......
