PETITION TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

Subject: Urgent Call for Action to Address National Security Threats and the tyranny in Nicaragua

To: The Honorable Donald J. Trump, President of the United States

From: Nicaraguan Free Citizens and Supportive Citizens of the International Community

I. Statement of Purpose

We, the undersigned, Nicaraguan Citizens and Citizens of other countries supporting this petition, respectfully request that the President of the United States take immediate and decisive action to neutralize the growing national security threats emerging from Nicaragua. The Sandinista regime has transformed Nicaragua into a logistical and strategic hub for adversarial foreign powers and international criminals, posing a "clear and present danger" to the United States and the stability of the Western Hemisphere and the Central American region.

II. Specific National Security Grievances

The current regime in Managua is no longer a localized political issue; it is a platform for global adversaries to target the United States:

Russian Military Enclave: The regime has authorized the presence of Russian troops, ships, and aircraft on Nicaraguan soil. Of particular concern is the Mokorón espionage base, which serves as a signals intelligence station for Russian intelligence to intercept regional communications.

Chinese Strategic Expansion: The revival of the "Grand Canal" project and massive infrastructure concessions at Punta Huete and Bluefields Port, the People’s Republic of China is establishing a dual-use (civilian-military) foothold that threatens U.S. control over vital maritime corridors, along with hordes of Chinese immigrants taking over land and businesses throughout Nicaragua.

Presence of Criminal and Radical Elements: We express grave concern regarding reports of the regime's cooperation with foreign entities and individuals linked to radical ideologies and state-sponsored terrorism, such as Iran, Cuba and Venezuela, which may serve as a gateway and training grounds for asymmetric threats to enter the North American mainland.

Weaponization of Migration: The regime actively facilitates mass migration as a tool of "gray zone" warfare to overwhelm U.S. borders and strain national resources, infiltrating into the USA large quantities of criminal and radical terrorist elements amongst actual immigrants.

III. Grounds for Urgent Concern

The situation in Nicaragua has reached a critical threshold that demands a shift in U.S. foreign policy:

Systemic Repression: The systematic dismantling of democratic institutions, the silencing of independent media, persecution, harassment, kidnapping, disappearance, torture and the imprisonment or force exile of political opponents.

Human Rights Violations: Documented reports of extrajudicial executions, arbitrary detentions, confiscation of property from national and international entities and the stripping of citizenship from dissidents.

Crimes Against Humanity committed by the Sandinista tyranny such as the assassination of more than 350 civilians including American citizens such as Eddie Montes Praslin, UN experts (GHREN) have documented a "well-orchestrated state policy" of murder, torture, and sexual violence used to maintain power through the formation of nationwide paramilitary forces to commit atrocities and even transnational assassinations
Regional Instability: The regime’s alignment with adversarial foreign powers and its role in fueling mass migration through state-sponsored economic and social collapse.

Threat to Security: The ongoing threat to regional peace and the safety of American interests in Central America.

IV. The Request for Action

While we recognize the complexity of international relations, we petition the President to exercise his authority as Commander-in-Chief and the leader of the free world to:

Re-evaluate Current Policy: Move beyond limited economic sanctions toward a more robust strategy to facilitate a transition to a democratically elected government.

Military and Strategic Pressure: Consider all necessary measures—including strategic military posturing, maritime interdiction of illicit goods, and support for democratic forces—to isolate the regime and compel a return to the rule of law.

Invoke the Monroe Doctrine: Formally declare that the presence of Russian and Chinese military or intelligence assets in Nicaragua is an intolerable violation of regional security.

invoke the Right To Protect: Years of diplomatic efforts, OAS resolutions, and economic sanctions have failed to deter the regime’s violence, leaving "timely and decisive collective action" as the only remaining remedy under R2P "Responsibility or Right to Protect" to protect the People of Nicaragua from an illegitimate tyrannical totalitarian dictatorship at war with its own, unarmed people.

Strategic Military Intervention: Authorize the necessary military measures—including a naval blockade to prevent the delivery of adversarial military equipment and targeted operations—to dismantle the Sandinista tyranny and its foreign-backed security apparatus.

Counter-Intelligence Operations: Launch a comprehensive campaign to neutralize foreign espionage centers within Nicaragua that target American interests.

V. Conclusion

FOR ALL OF THE ABOVE, WE DECLARE:

That we clearly, firmly, and unequivocally request that, under your leadership as President of the United States, a MILITARY INTERVENTION in Nicaragua be considered and carried out, with the objective of:

Putting an end to the sandinista tyranny

Immediate release of all political prisoners

Temporary protection to the civilian population from Sandinista backslash

Dismantling the State’s repressive structures

Facilitating a real and verifiable democratic transition away from socialism, communism, sandinismo and/or any leftist ideology

Mr. President, the Nicaraguan people need leadership and assistance to reach its freedom. Today, that leadership and the decision to assist us lies in the hands of the United States.

We want Freedom, Justice and a prosperous Republic of Nicaragua represented and led by the people for the people.

Nosotros, los abajo firmantes, ciudadanos nicaragüenses y ciudadanos de otros países que apoyan esta petición, solicitamos respetuosamente que el Presidente de los Estados Unidos tome medidas inmediatas y decisivas para neutralizar las crecientes amenazas a la seguridad nacional que surgen de Nicaragua. El régimen sandinista ha transformado Nicaragua en un centro logístico y estratégico para potencias extranjeras adversarias y criminales internacionales, lo que representa un "peligro claro e inminente" para los Estados Unidos y la estabilidad del hemisferio occidental y la región centroamericana.

II. Agravios específicos en materia de seguridad nacional

El actual régimen en Managua ya no es un problema político localizado; es una plataforma para que adversarios globales ataquen a los Estados Unidos:

Enclave militar ruso: El régimen ha autorizado la presencia de tropas, barcos y aviones rusos en suelo nicaragüense. De particular preocupación es la base de espionaje de Mokorón, que sirve como estación de inteligencia de señales para que la inteligencia rusa intercepte comunicaciones regionales.

Expansión estratégica china: Con el resurgimiento del proyecto del "Gran Canal" y las concesiones de infraestructura masiva en Punta Huete y el puerto de Bluefields, la República Popular China está estableciendo una base de doble uso (civil-militar) que amenaza el control de Estados Unidos sobre corredores marítimos vitales, junto con hordas de inmigrantes chinos que se apoderan de tierras y negocios en toda Nicaragua.

Presencia de elementos criminales y radicales: Expresamos grave preocupación con respecto a los informes de cooperación del régimen con entidades e individuos extranjeros vinculados a ideologías radicales y terrorismo patrocinado por el Estado, como Irán, Cuba y Venezuela, que pueden servir como puerta de entrada y campos de entrenamiento para que amenazas similares ingresen al continente norteamericano.
Instrumentalización de la migración: El régimen facilita activamente la migración masiva como herramienta de guerra de "zona gris" para abrumar las fronteras de EE. UU. y agotar los recursos nacionales, infiltrando en los EE. UU. grandes cantidades de elementos terroristas criminales y radicales entre los inmigrantes reales.

III. Motivos de preocupación urgente

La situación en Nicaragua ha alcanzado un umbral crítico que exige un cambio en la política exterior de EE. UU.:

Represión sistémica: El desmantelamiento sistemático de las instituciones democráticas, el silenciamiento de los medios de comunicación independientes, la persecución, el acoso, el secuestro, la desaparición, la tortura y el encarcelamiento o exilio forzoso de opositores políticos.
Violaciones de los derechos humanos: Informes documentados de ejecuciones extrajudiciales, detenciones arbitrarias, confiscación de propiedades de entidades nacionales e internacionales y la privación de la ciudadanía a los disidentes.

Crímenes de lesa humanidad cometidos por la tiranía sandinista, como el asesinato de más de 350 civiles, incluidos ciudadanos estadounidenses como Eddie Montes Praslin. Expertos de la ONU (GHREN) han documentado una "política estatal bien orquestada" de asesinato, tortura y violencia sexual utilizada para mantener el poder mediante la formación de fuerzas paramilitares en todo el país para cometer atrocidades e incluso asesinatos transnacionales.

Inestabilidad regional: La alineación del régimen con potencias extranjeras adversarias y su papel en alimentar la migración masiva a través del colapso económico y social patrocinado por el Estado.

Amenaza a la seguridad: La amenaza actual a la paz regional y la seguridad de los intereses estadounidenses en Centroamérica.

IV. La solicitud de acción

Si bien reconocemos la complejidad de las relaciones internacionales, solicitamos al Presidente que ejerza su autoridad como Comandante en Jefe y líder del mundo libre para:

Reevaluar la política actual: Ir más allá de las sanciones económicas limitadas hacia una estrategia más sólida para facilitar una transición a un gobierno elegido democráticamente.

Presión militar y estratégica: Considerar todas las medidas necesarias, incluido el posicionamiento militar estratégico, la interdicción marítima de bienes ilícitos y el apoyo a las fuerzas democráticas, para aislar al régimen y obligar a un retorno al estado de derecho.
Invocar la Doctrina Monroe: Declarar formalmente que la presencia de activos militares o de inteligencia rusos y chinos en Nicaragua es una violación intolerable de la seguridad regional.

Invocar el Derecho a Proteger: Años de esfuerzos diplomáticos, resoluciones de la OEA y sanciones económicas no han logrado disuadir la violencia del régimen, dejando la "acción colectiva oportuna y decisiva" como el único remedio restante bajo R2P ("Responsabilidad o Derecho a Proteger") para proteger al pueblo de Nicaragua de una dictadura totalitaria tiránica ilegítima en guerra con su propio pueblo desarmado.

Intervención militar estratégica: Autorizar las medidas militares necesarias, incluido un bloqueo naval para evitar la entrega de equipo militar adversario y operaciones selectivas, para desmantelar la tiranía sandinista y su aparato de seguridad respaldado por extranjeros.

Operaciones de contrainteligencia: Lanzar una campaña integral para neutralizar los centros de espionaje extranjeros dentro de Nicaragua que atacan los intereses estadounidenses.

V. Conclusión

POR TODO LO ANTERIOR, DECLARAMOS:

Que solicitamos clara, firme e inequívocamente que, bajo su liderazgo como Presidente de los Estados Unidos, se considere y lleve a cabo una INTERVENCIÓN MILITAR en Nicaragua, con el objetivo de:

Poner fin a la tiranía sandinista

Liberación inmediata de todos los presos políticos

Protección temporal a la población civil de las represalias sandinistas

Desmantelamiento de las estructuras represivas del Estado

Facilitar una transición democrática real y verificable lejos del socialismo, comunismo, sandinismo y/o cualquier ideología de izquierda

Sr. Presidente, el pueblo Nicaragüense necesita liderazgo y asistencia para alcanzar su libertad. Hoy, ese liderazgo y la decisión de ayudarnos están en manos de los Estados Unidos.

Queremos libertad, justicia y una República de Nicaragua próspera representada y liderada por el pueblo para el pueblo.
