The Issue

How many people have died because of delay in operations and lack of treatment not COVID related. Why hasn't there been a national plan that could move cancer and heart patients from areas overwhelmed with a backlog of cases to hospitals that had vacancies?

Why wasnt the lull after the first wave of Covid seen as the chance to put in place a National NHS Plan so that hospitals could  get back to operating as normal saving lives not Covid related?

Why didnt hospitals get back to normal levels of critical operations in June? And then they were not operating at full capacity.

.Why were hospitals not separated into those dealing with Covid and those dealing with other life threatening conditions? Allowing them to get back to their normal life saving work sooner. I know staff were coming out of retirement to help out - it has not been because of lack of willingness by our great NHS staff but because of lack of a National Plan and leaving each trust to do there own thing.

Why did this have to happen when we had already established Nightingale Hospitals to take the pressure off main hospitals? What have they and the commandeered Private Hospitals been doing to assist getting hospitals back to normal. COVID is not the only killer out there.

My daughter died because of a cancelled heart operation and lack of communication. An operation due in March was delayed until October = too late.

Once the figures are accessed I believe it will prove more people will have died unnecessarily  from delayed treatment than COVID.
