NHS staff are working to keep the country alive and risking their own lives every day. They are being stretched beyond all measures, both physically and mentally and yet are still paying to travel into work while many of us are safely working from home. They should not be required to pay for travel during this time.

This is not an unreasonable and outrageous request. It is a symbol of respect for those on the front line who are working to keep us healthy and alive. Numerous countries such as France who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic have already made these changes to further support their healthcare workers. There is no reason why we cannot do the same!
