Petition for a Doctors Surgery in Peacehaven, Sussex

Petition for a Doctors Surgery in Peacehaven, Sussex
The Issue
The population of Peacehaven is growing rapidly due to necessary housing developments.
We are calling for a new GP Surgery in Peacehaven to serve the community and also to help assist in relieving the pressures on the existing surgeries.
According to a Report to the East Sussex Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee dated 20 March 2018, since 2013, there have been two surgery closures, both
Central Surgery in June 2014 and Foxhill Medical Practice in December 2016.
In each case the patients (2,500 and 2,800 respectively) were dispersed to neighbouring practices in Peacehaven. As a result, Rowe Avenue Surgery and Meridian Surgery practice lists grew from 6,179 to 6,782 and 10,489 to
12,438 respectively over that time.
According to that report, the two Peacehaven practices were anticipating losing more of the GP workforce over the following 6 months.
This is having a huge impact on our community, especially the vulnerable and the elderly.
Please sign this petition so that we can hopefully bring it to the attention of those we need to!
