Hi my name is Daniella, I have two sons under the age of 17months and my youngest was diagnosed with two very rare and life threatening conditions FNAIT & ventriculomegaly at my 20 week scan, at this point I was told to terminate my pregnancy as my son would have no sort of a life and that we would be late starting treatment to help his condition, I couldn’t believe the news that we had left it to late when we had never been given the chance to test for these conditions. 
I understand the NHS test for a few conditions at your 12 week bloods but further to that you don’t have an option to do extensive testing even if you had to pay for it (I know if I had the choice I would pay for extra tests). I’m starting this petition to make the option available to all parents through the NHS or even the NHS giving referrals to parents who would want to do further testing with a private company.
