"Cowboys" was the term use to describe a racist group of people that worked in cattle herding in Texas and the Great Plains of the United States. Other than acquiring financial compensation from cattle drives, these Cowboys supplemented their income by killing Native people to move them out of the way of cattle driving routes. Their scalps were worth move than any cattle, and many became full time "Indian Scalpers."

Surely in the United States, in 2020, we would not be naming football teams that committed atrocities against native people, and then symbolize a team to bring applause to these murderers.
