NFL: Offer Free Immersive Spanish Lessons Ahead of Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

NFL: Offer Free Immersive Spanish Lessons Ahead of Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show
The Issue
The NFL has announced Bad Bunny as the headliner for the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show-an historic and exciting choice. Millions of fans around the world are ready to sing along, dance, and celebrate one of the biggest global superstars of our time.
But here’s the catch: not everyone speaks Spanish! And instead of complaining, starting petitions to replace him, or pretending that Spanish isn’t already a major language in America, we think there’s a better solution.
We call on the NFL to offer immersive Spanish lessons leading up to the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Here’s why:
-Inclusivity matters. Spanish is the second most spoken language in the U.S., with more than 40 million native speakers. The NFL has a diverse fan base-it’s time the Halftime Show reflects that and helps everyone feel included.
-Music is universal-but lyrics matter. Why settle for humming along when fans could actually understand and belt out the words? Imagine entire stadium sections shouting “Vamo’ a bailer!” In sync.
-It’s good for the brand. The NFL has the chance to be a cultural leader, not just a sports league. Offering Spanish lessons would show a sense of humor, a commitment to diversity and a willingness to meet the moment.
We’re not asking for college credits or a semester abroad. A few fun lessons, some lyric-based vocabulary, maybe even a Bad Bunny-inspired Duolingo partnership-that’s all it would take.
The Super Bowl is supposed to bring people together. Let’s use this moment to celebrate culture, not divide it.
NFL: Don’t just give us a show. Give us the tools to enjoy it fully. Let’s make this the most bilingual Super Bowl in history.
Sign this petition and tell the NFL that learning Spanish is way cooler than complaining about it.
