Blackpink is one of the biggest girl groups in the world. We have seen the group break barriers in the Western music entertainment industry and their many achievements. Some achievements include debuting with their first album titled, The Album at #2 on the Billboard 200 and the highest charting Korean Girl Group on the Billboard Hot 100 with their collaboration Ice Cream, debuting at #13. 

The NFL speaks on diversity in their organization. One group that has not been represented highly in the music industry are Asian Artists. Therefore, having Blackpink headline the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show will be a big step in showing diversity in the NFL. Not only for Asian artists, but as well as female artists in the music industry.

We have seen Blackpink also be great ambassadors for Pepsi brand before in Asia Pacific for Pepsi’s “Go All In For What You Love” campaign.

Blackpink is more than capable of putting on a show as big as the Super Bowl. They have performed at sold out arenas on tour and big music events when they performed at 2019 Coachella.
