Petition to Close the Nexus-Onarga Family Healing Centre in Onarga:

We, the undersigned members of the Onarga community, strongly urge decision-makers to permanently close and relocate the Nexus-Onarga Family Healing Centre due to serious safety concerns.

Onarga is a tight-knit, family-oriented farming community that values the well-being and security of all residents. While we recognize the importance of rehabilitation and healing services, it has become clear that the presence of the Nexus-Onarga Family Healing Centre poses a growing risk to our town.

Why Closing the Centre is Necessary:

In recent years, our community has witnessed alarming safety incidents linked to the Centre, including a serious arrest that has shaken our sense of security. This event was not an isolated occurrence but part of a broader pattern that has left many residents feeling uneasy about their safety. Families should not have to live in fear or uncertainty about the presence of individuals in our town who may pose a danger to the community.

The Centre was established with the intention of offering support and rehabilitation, but its operations have instead led to an increased sense of insecurity among local residents. Onarga does not have the resources—such as a strong law enforcement presence or emergency response infrastructure—to effectively manage the risks associated with this facility.

The Impact on Our Community:

The continued operation of the Nexus-Onarga Family Healing Centre has resulted in:

 • Diminished community safety, with growing concerns about potential threats to residents.

 • Increased fear and anxiety among families, particularly those with young children and elderly members.

 • Strain on local resources, as Onarga lacks the infrastructure to properly monitor or respond to incidents stemming from the Centre.

While we understand the need for rehabilitation programs, Onarga is not the right place for this facility. A larger city or a more equipped location would be far better suited to provide both the necessary security and the support systems needed for those in recovery.

Our Call to Action:

We are calling on local authorities, state officials, and decision-makers to take immediate action to close the Nexus-Onarga Family Healing Centre and relocate its services elsewhere. We believe this is the only viable solution to protect our community while ensuring those in need of healing receive the appropriate care in a more suitable environment.

The safety and well-being of Onarga residents must come first. Our town cannot and should not bear the responsibility of hosting a facility that threatens our community’s peace and security.

Exigimos a las autoridades locales, estatales y a los responsables de la toma de decisiones que actúen de inmediato para cerrar el Nexus-Onarga Family Healing Centre y trasladar sus servicios a otro lugar.
